Everyone's gotta eat. So if you aren't packing your own groceries then there are a handful of good choices in the ghostwon and a few down the road a bit. There are 4 restaurants to choose from in the heart of the ghost town - all within a 1-5 minute walk of all our properties.
Starlight Theatre offers a large menu, a full bar and live music many nights of the week. This is one of our favorite places to eat and family friendly. Stays open til midnight every night and 1am on Saturday night. Food can be ordered until 10pm every night.
Though all our properties include coffee and tea stations, you might want to mosy over to the La Posada Milagro Espresso y poco mas for your morning coffee/tea and breakfast (they also have a great lunch menu). The people working there are amazing, the food is good and the overall atmosphere is, well, Terlingua. Check out the excellent rock work when you are there. Each and every stone was quarried nearby. Note the Posada is literally a stones throw from our Casa Azul property - and if you squint, you can see the top of our tipi (The Nomad) in the distance. Depending on the weather, live music is often provided.
High Sierra Bar and Grill is a beer and wine bar with a great array of food items on their menu. Try the Black and Blue Salad. They also have live music many nights of the week.
Rio Bravo is a great Mexican Food restaurant down the road on your way back to Study Butte on your right, just before you get to Far Flung Outdoor Center. Our personal favorite is the Chile Verde plate!
Rent a Bicycle:
You can rent bikes just down the street at Desert Sports (great people by the way).
Big Bend National Park:
Great place to visit. Click here for more info.
Big Bend Ranch State Park:
Another of our great parks in the area. Click here for more info.
Float the River: There are 3 great companies in town to choose from for outdoor adventure sports
Far Flung Outdoor Center offers ATV rides, river floats, jeep tours and much more.
Big Bend River Tours offers boat rentals and guided river floats.
Desert Sports also offers canoe rentals and overnight river trips.
Just down the road is the old Terlingua Trading Company, right next to Starlight Theatre. A great store, don't want to miss. After looking around, you can grab a beer and sit on the big porch to watch the sunset on the Chisos Mountains, a favorite amongst locals and other tourists.

With so many things to do in Terlingua and the Big Bend, it's hard to know where to start. Here are some obvious and not so obvious suggestions.
